A variety of non-governmental organizations, institutions, and individuals have been part of the discussions leading to the establishment of the Patient Access Partnership (PACT). The milestone meetings in the setting up of the PACT platform are:

• September 2012

First Conference on Health Inequalities in the New EU Member States Policy makers and patients – creating the change, Sofia, Bulgaria

• June 2013  

Conference in the European Parliament hosted by MEP  Dr. Andrey Kovatchev titled: Equity of Access to Quality Healthcare, Brussels, Belgium.

• November 2013 

First meeting of the stakeholders to discuss the establishment of the Patient Access Partnership, held in Brussels, Belgium.

• March 2014

Second meeting of the stakeholders to define access, agree on the vision, mission and structure of the Patient  Access Partnership, held in Brussels, Belgium.

• December 2014

Partners′ Assembly to establish the Patient Access Partnership, elect the Interim Steering Committee, and form the Workstream working groups, held in Brussels, Belgium.

• January 2015

Establishment of the MEPs Interest Group on Equity of Access and public launch of the Patient Access  Partnership, European Parliament, Brussels, Belgium.
