Mapping Access
Mapping access is the leading priority of the Partnership in its first 12 months, and seeks to assess patient and other stakeholders′ experiences of access across Member States. The assessment is conducted through a questionnaire based on the 5A’s definition of access.
The questionnaire was developed with the support of Prof. Kyriakos Souliotis from the Peloponnese University, who will contribute to the analysis of the results. It evaluates different elements of the healthcare systems in the EU28, looking into their availability, accessibility, adequacy, affordability and appropriateness.
At the first stage the survey was piloted in 3 countries - France, Romania and Cyprus, and since August 2015 it has been extended to all EU Member States through national stakeholders′ groups.
The results of the survey will be a basis for the measurement tool.
